I received Orla Kiely's new book 'Pattern' for Christmas and have read it from cover to cover. It starts from her childhood all the way through to current day. She really goes into detail about how she set up her business and her first trade show, mistakes that were made and changed and how she and her team build the collection. Orla also talks about colour and design and her views on them from a basic to more detailed account and what goes into to creating a design and colour palette. Not to mention the wonderful pattern pages in here. I really rate the book! Very interesting. Buy it here: Orla Kiely: Pattern.
