LOVE: Blankets

If I could buy anything for my home over and over it would be blankets! Love them displayed in layers on the bed, stacked up on a footstool by the sofa, draped over arms or backs of chairs, but most of all snuggling up on a cold night. Mmm toastie!

This crochet blanket is so colourful and cute, found it in a mag, looks like something you could perhaps find in a charity shop or car boot sale for not too much cash and will give your room a handmade crafty home feel.
Quilts are better placed in a bedroom and can bring pattern into the room if you didn't want to go to the effort of wallpapering. Better yet, make your own! I'll recycle one soon and show how to update an old blanket into something more spectacular out of your favourite bits of fabric.

I've seen many cushions made from blanket wool, some have the tassels still on, I think it makes the home feel really warm and inviting. This one is from Anta which is a Scottish based company. Colours are inspired by the Scottish landscape.

Love this sofa, I like the fact that the cushion fabric is slightly different design to the back, has a great graphic rural feel. The sofa fabric is in Doublecloth Knot Garden in Graphite, Shetland wool and seat cushions are in Doublecloth St Davids Cross in indigo/white wool both from Melin Tregwynt

This blanket and cushion were on a sofa.com advert in a magazine but has a similar feel to the one below.
This Carthenni traditional wool tapestry blanket from Blodwen is fab all layered up on the bed, like the mix of the striped pillowcases and the dark backdrop of the cushion and aubergine blanket underneath.

Makes me want to go and buy another!.......
